Visitor privacy

This site records the IP address, request time and page path for successful page views. It also records broad device, browser and operating-system labels from the browser’s user-agent header, plus the approximate country and region supplied by Cloudflare for the IP address.

These records are used to measure visits and operate the site. IP addresses, device information, approximate locations, visit records and daily totals are retained for 90 days. Expired records are removed when traffic is recorded or the private dashboard is accessed.

The records are stored in Cloudflare and are accessible through a password-protected dashboard. They are not included in public downloads. Query strings are not stored. This site does not use browser fingerprinting or visitor tracking cookies; the private dashboard uses a sign-in cookie.

One IP address can be shared by several people, and one person can use several addresses. IP counts therefore do not identify or count individual people. Browser and device labels are approximate. IP locations can reflect a VPN or network exit rather than the visitor’s location. Locations for earlier records are filled using a locally downloaded DB-IP Lite database (October 2026, CC BY 4.0). Those results are labelled as lookup estimates, with their source and lookup time retained. Visitor IPs are not sent to DB-IP. Coordinates and postal codes are not stored.
